The stone is impervious to all but a hammer. It will not chip, crack or dent from a misguided ball or cue. It will not fade, warp or decay for centuries. The marble is beveled and polished to 8500 grit/sq. in. and then treated to repel water. It will never need refinishing. A passing hand cannot feel joints or sights. It is genuine natural stone.
